Why isn’t it working for you?

Daily writing prompt
How do you want to retire?

So… You want to retire, but you don’t want to depend on your country’s pension system? You want to retire in a beautiful place, without any financial constraints? So, are you doing your job right, or are you doing the right job that needs to be done?

Ever since we were children, people have been trying to teach us how to do things. But does anyone teach us the right things to do?

Our education system is trying to teach us how to deal with the world. But is this the world it prepared us for? I don’t think so. Our education systems, no matter what country you live in, prepared us to live in a world that no longer exists. Prove me wrong!

In this system, you do what is right, and you get what you need. But! The big BUT! It’s not true. Because really, if our parents had to find a company to be loyal to their whole lives, and that company took care of them, that’s not the situation these days. Now everyone takes care of themselves first!

Right now, companies want us to be loyal to them, but they’re not loyal to us. That’s why they reject us when they have financial problems, expecting us to understand them. Is that fair? Yes, but not in terms of our expectations!

And they expect us to understand. That life is different now, and we have to take care of ourselves financially, because there’s no company that can succeed for us. So now the world is a place where everyone takes care of themselves FIRST. No, that’s not egocentricity, nor narcissism. That’s just common sense – I know you don’t care about me first, so I have to take care of myself. That’s the situation.

Being smart instead of deluding yourself. That’s just common sense. And if you’re not there yet, please wake up!

Because it’s lifesaving!

  1. Brilliantly said! The system has changed, but many are still following an outdated map. It’s time to take charge, think smart, and build the life we envision—on our own terms.
